This dress is as advertised. The material isn\'t super thin but not heavy either. I\'m 5\'8 190lbs (muscular, broad build) and I ordered a Large. With spanx I could wear it with confidence, It\'s just too snug around my lower abdomen for me to really feel comfortable wearing out - an XL would\'ve been better for where I\'m at now but I bought it smaller on purpose as I\'m still losing weight (110lbs down and counting) and my goal is to fit into this perfectly by Christmas. This dress was sort of strange to me. I purchased several colors. The blue and black were true while the green was darker than it appears in the photo. The burgandy was brighter. This dress is lined with a felt type of material I don\'t care for. It is thick so if you\'re looking for a warm dress this could work for you. I\'m 5\'6 153 lbs and ordered a large in each color. For being 37 weeks pregnant and not the average size, this fit me perfectly. Maternity was always too big so the dress being able to stretch over my bump, yet be fitting to my body was a great thing.
